Overview

Built for family travel and long-distance commuting, the BYD Sealion 6 is a smart mid-size SUV offered in DM-i plug-in hybrid and pure-electric versions. Measuring 4810×1920×1675mm with a 2820mm wheelbase, it provides generous space for five adults and stands out among mid-size SUVs for cabin room and cargo flexibility. The DM-i offers 695L of cargo volume, while the EV version delivers 757L plus a 142L front trunk for extra storage. Powertrain & Fuel Economy

The DM-i model adopts BYD’s advanced hybrid system, pairing a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (101Ps / 74kW / 126N·m) with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 160kW (218Ps) or 175kW (238Ps), mated to an E-CVT. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 7.8-7.9 seconds with a top speed of 180km/h.
The EV version features a rear-mounted permanent-magnet motor with 240kW (326Ps) or 270kW (367Ps), hitting 0-100km/h in 6.8-7.2 seconds and a top speed of 210km/h.

Both run on the highly-safe BYD Blade Battery (LFP); 2026 EV models upgrade to second-generation Blade Battery on an 800V high-voltage platform. DM-i delivers CLTC pure-electric ranges of 205km or 310km, with combined range reaching 1705km or 1845km, WLTC blended fuel consumption as low as 0.43L/100km, and low-charge-state consumption of 4.7L/100km (WLTC) or 3.3L/100km (NEDC). The EV offers 605km or 710km CLTC range with 800V ultra-fast charging from 10% to 97% in about 0.15 hours (195-237kW) — exceptional for long-distance and rapid top-ups.
